Ceramic Coating Warranty

Every ceramic coating we apply is covered by a written warranty for the full life of the coating. Not a handshake and not "we stand behind our work", but a signed certificate you get on the day with your vehicle and your dates on it. Here is exactly what it covers and the one thing we need from you.

We guarantee our work, not your car.

If the coating fails, that is on us and we fix it for free. If the paint underneath gets damaged, that is wear and tear on your vehicle and we will quote you to put it right. Those are two different things and we can tell them apart the moment we look at the panel.

How long you are covered

Your warranty runs for the full term of the coating you chose. Not twelve months, not until something goes wrong, the full term.

Coating Warranty Check-ups
3-Year Coating 3 years 2 annual check-ups
5-Year Coating Most popular 5 years 4 annual check-ups

What is covered

For the full term, if the coating itself fails we re-prep and re-coat the affected panels and you pay nothing. That means:

What is not covered

A coating protects your paint. It is not a force field, and nothing we apply can stop the following:

If we find any of these at your check-up we will show you, tell you what it costs to fix, and let you decide. Warranty holders get 30% off any correction or re-coat work.

Your one condition: the annual check-up

Book your vehicle in once a year, within 30 days either side of the anniversary of your coating. It takes about 45 minutes.

We inspect the coating panel by panel, decontaminate the paint and apply a fresh booster over the top so it keeps performing the way it did on day one. If something has failed, we find it early and fix it while it is a small job.

Your first visit is included in the price of your coating. After that each visit is $180.

Miss a check-up and the warranty ends on that date. That is the only way we can offer a warranty this long. Once a year has passed without us seeing the vehicle, we have no way of knowing what has happened to it. We will remind you when yours is coming up.

What we do not ask of you

We are not going to ask you to prove you used a particular shampoo, or keep receipts, or send us photos every few months. Your aftercare kit is there because it makes looking after the coating easy, not because it is a condition. We would rather look at the car once a year and see for ourselves.

Making a claim

Ring us. Most of the time we spot it at your check-up before you do. If something looks wrong in between visits, do not wait for the anniversary, call us and we will get the vehicle in.

Warranty Questions

The coating de-bonding, lifting or flaking, or losing the water beading it had on handover. That is our workmanship or the product, so we re-prep and re-coat the affected panels and you pay nothing. What it does not mean is damage to the paint underneath. Scratches, stone chips and marks from an automatic brush wash are damage to the car, not a failure of the coating, and we can tell the difference standing at the panel.
It takes about 45 minutes. We inspect the coating panel by panel, decontaminate the paint and put a fresh booster over the top so it performs the way it did on day one. If anything has failed, we tell you there and then and we fix it. Your first visit is included in the price of your coating. After that each visit is $180.
The warranty ends on that date. It is the one condition, and it is not us being difficult: once a year has gone by without us seeing the car, we have no way of knowing what has happened to it. You have 30 days either side of your anniversary to get it booked in, and we will remind you beforehand.
No. The aftercare kit is there to make looking after the coating easy, and it genuinely helps, but it is not a condition of your warranty. The annual visit is the condition. We would rather check the car ourselves than take anyone's word for what has been used on it.
We show you exactly what it is, tell you what it costs to put right, and you decide. As a warranty holder you get 30% off any correction or re-coat work. There is no argument about it, because the car tells us what happened.
The warranty covers you as the owner and ends when the vehicle is sold. If you are planning to sell, tell us and we will talk through the options.
